The Challenge

Legacy operational data warehouses operating on SQL Server and Oracle were struggling to scale and deliver timely insights critical for fast-paced supply chain operations. The infrastructure needed a complete overhaul to support advanced analytics, real-time data ingestion, and seamless data exchange with external partners.

The Solution

I architected and executed a comprehensive cloud-native migration to Google Cloud Platform, anchoring the new enterprise reporting environment on BigQuery. This transition involved engineering advanced ETL solutions capable of handling both batch and near real-time data ingestion. To ensure seamless interoperability, I designed secure data exchange pipelines using APIs and SFTP protocols.

The Impact

The migration to GCP dramatically enhanced data quality, velocity, and availability. By centralising information from multiple databases and supply chain systems into BigQuery, we created scalable and flexible data pipelines that not only solved immediate operational bottlenecks but also future-proofed the enterprise for continued growth and advanced analytics integration.
